REPAIR THE CAUSE FIRST
A replacement converter can be damaged again when the underlying engine or exhaust problem is left unresolved. Misfires, improper fuel mixture, excessive oil consumption and coolant entering the engine can damage or contaminate a converter.
ASE-CERTIFIED REPAIRS REQUIRED
Before Mile High Mufflers begins a warranty review, any underlying engine, emissions or exhaust issues related to the converter failure must be diagnosed and repaired by an ASE-certified technician. Bring the written diagnosis and repair invoice showing the work completed and the technician’s ASE certification information. Clearing a trouble code alone is not proof that the cause was repaired.
WHAT COVERAGE DEPENDS ON
Manufacturer warranties have specific requirements. A manufacturing defect and damage caused by an unresolved vehicle problem are different. Coverage, exclusions, time/mileage limits and any parts or labor benefits depend on the manufacturer’s written warranty for your converter and applicable requirements. Repairs and documentation allow review; they do not guarantee approval.

Un convertidor nuevo puede dañarse otra vez si no se corrige el problema del motor o escape. Las fallas de encendido, mezcla incorrecta de combustible, consumo excesivo de aceite y entrada de refrigerante al motor pueden dañarlo o contaminarlo.
REPARACIONES POR UN TÉCNICO CERTIFICADO POR ASE
Antes de iniciar una revisión de garantía en Mile High Mufflers, un técnico certificado por ASE debe diagnosticar y reparar los problemas del motor, emisiones o escape relacionados con la falla del convertidor. Traiga el diagnóstico escrito y la factura de reparación con el trabajo realizado y la información de certificación ASE del técnico. Borrar un código de falla no demuestra que la causa fue reparada.
DE QUÉ DEPENDE LA COBERTURA
Las garantías del fabricante tienen requisitos específicos. Un defecto de fabricación es diferente de un daño causado por un problema del vehículo sin reparar. La cobertura, exclusiones, límites de tiempo/millaje y beneficios de piezas o mano de obra dependen de la garantía escrita de su convertidor y de los requisitos aplicables. Las reparaciones y documentos permiten la revisión; no garantizan la aprobación.
CONSERVE SUS DOCUMENTOS
Guarde su factura de instalación, millaje y registros de reparación. Atienda pronto las luces de advertencia y problemas de funcionamiento. Contáctenos antes de autorizar un reemplazo por garantía para conocer el proceso.
